The term Emo is used as counterculture; it is an abreviation of the word emotional. Emo it's defining not only an attitude, but also a fashion that are coming from emocore (emo music). Emocore is a combination between hardcore and punk music which was very popular in Washington DC in the late 80's.

Emo is a slang term used to describe or refer to the fashion, attitude or overall subculture linked to post hardcore fashion and its subculture. Emo may also describe a genre of music. It is also used to identify someone fitting a particular emo stereotype, or of being over emotional. You can also be called as EMO lovers if both of you are EMO kids.heheheh

Emo is the new trend among young people , regarding hair styles all the way with fashion with it’s own attitude. Not willing to follow the “dress code” of others emo has developed its own way of fashion
